Founderfest have announced their awesome line up for this year’s conference. With topics including womanhood, Intrapreneurship and the magic of failure there looks to be a lot of great discussion and debate.
This year’s speakers include Ifeyinwa Frederick, Co-Founder of Chuku’s, Ambreen Khasru, Head of Business Banking at Monese and Andy Davis, Director at Backstage Capital, as well as our MD and Founder Heather Delaney.
Heather joins Samira Abokor, Associate Product Manager at Just Eat, Stephan Eyeson, Guest Products Lead UK at Uber, Matteo Scarabelli, Head Of Investment at L Marks and Ishaan Malhi, CEO of Trussle on a panel. The panel will be discussing intrapreneurship and the future of the working.
Intrapreneurship is corporate innovation and empowering employees that have big ideas which propel established businesses forward.
But often, a big business quashes creative and innovative potential due to fear and lack of understanding. We have seen it happen with countless brands, like Kodak, Toys R Us and Blockbuster.
“Intrapreneurship rarely gets the same kudos as entrepreneurship, but often it’s the intrapreneurs that are the reason big businesses can evolve and futureproof their from the inside out.” said Heather. “People leave big corporations because they feel frustrated; whether it’s because they can’t be themselves or aren’t the happiest they can be, or due to their ideas and passions being stifled.”
Heather continues “The future of work and intrapreneurship are intrinsically linked; without changing the environment we are working in today, large businesses will continue to lose intrapreneurial talent to entrepreneurship.
“It’s a topic I am very passionate about, so I can’t wait to get on stage with this amazing panel Founderfest has pulled together to discuss this further.”
Founderfest 2019 takes place on Saturday 11th May 2019 and you can catch Heather’s panel at 2pm. Tickets are still available, but they are selling fast, so get yours here.
