Flo Health appoints Gallium Ventures as US PR brief

PR consultancy adds US market to its work with #1 female health app following successful major brand campaigns

2024 July 16, London: Flo Health — the #1 women’s health app worldwide — has appointed its long-standing agency in the UK, Gallium Ventures, to handle its PR and communications brief for the US market.

Continuing to work closely with the femtech giant’s marketing and communications teams, Gallium will develop and implement multicultural and comprehensive PR programmes for the US market. This includes media relations, press office support, and campaign development and execution to further strengthen the brand’s position as the global market leader. Gallium will also work to highlight Flo’s international medical credibility, and promote key initiatives — including Flo’s dedication towards maintaining the highest privacy and security standards in that market.

As part of this brief, Gallium will be leveraging its US roots to provide strategic counsel tailored to the political and cultural landscape.

Gallium has been working closely with Flo’s in-house PR team in the UK since 2021. To date, the award-winning communications consultancy has helped to build the brand’s awareness in the UK, including launching several campaigns and key products, including the award-winning ‘Anonymous Mode’ and ‘Flo for Partners.’

“As a team we are passionately invested in Flo’s mission to truly empower women to take care of their health, and we are proud to continue our crucial work with Flo in bridging the gender health gap,” said Heather Delaney, Founder and Managing Director of Gallium Ventures. “Together, we will focus on providing women with the tools against misinformation, normalising conversations around reproductive health, and promoting compelling studies which focus on topics including periods, ovulation and pregnancy, sexual health, menopause, and health conditions such as endometriosis and PCOS.”

As the #1 app in the Health & Fitness category — backed by a team of over 120 medical experts — the Flo period and ovulation tracker is the female health partner that 67 million active monthly users around the globe trust. Flo Health is supporting women at every stage of their reproductive lives, helping them to better understand their bodies and improve their health by offering accurate cycle and symptom predictions, personalised insights, actionable guidance, and a supportive community.

With the value of the femtech space expected to grow to $103 billion worldwide by 2030, Flo Health has taken on the mission as the market leader to help build a better future for female health, by placing medical credibility at its core and pioneering privacy initiatives.

“Our top priorities are to be the most trusted digital source for women’s health information and to ensure the highest level of privacy and security for our users,”  said Denae Thibault, Global Head of Communications at Flo Health. “We count on our solid partnership with Gallium, who have been instrumental in bringing our vision to life in the UK. As we work side-by-side in an expanded partnership, we look forward to harnessing Flo’s power to drive palpable and positive change for women in the US.”
