Paris, France—April 06, 2022—Deezer, the global audio streaming service and member of the Next40, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gitte Bendzulla as new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective April 19th 2022.
Reporting directly into Deezer’s CEO, Jeronimo Folgueira, Gitte will oversee operations, ensuring the highest level of operational efficiency and excellence for Deezer. She will work closely with Jeronimo and the rest of the management team to implement the company’s ambitious growth plans, and will be based in Deezer’s HQ in Paris.

Gitte brings nearly 20 years of experience in COO and senior roles. She joins Deezer from Spark Networks SE, America’s second largest dating company, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, where she served as Managing Director and COO. Prior to that, Gitte held several senior positions on a European and global scale with companies such as Juniper Networks and APM Terminals in The Netherlands, Eaton Industries in Switzerland, and SITA Suez Group in Germany. Gitte is admitted to the German bar and holds a master’s degree from the University of Bayreuth in Germany.
